Mobile Tornado offers a Software Development Kit (SDK) for its complete range of services, which gives Independent Software Vendors (ISV's) the ability to integrate our complete communication suite into existing workforce management applications. This, in turn, enhances their proposition and creates a unique selling point with additional revenue streams.
How it works
Independent Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are available for each of the following services:

Flexible Connectitivy Options
As the SDK interfaces can be made available on any IPRS™ platform, several connectivity options are available for our partners and their end users. Some partners choose to invest in a full platform deployment which they will manage, and connect all of their customers to it. Others prefer to offer a full platform deployment to individual customers, or alternatively connect their customers directly to one of the Mobile Tornado hosted platforms worldwide. As the connectivity options are completely flexible it is possible to offer the right solution to each customer to provide a completely tailored service.

Devices connecting through the SDK appear to the platform as normal IPRS based PTT devices — this means users can communicate with each other regardless of whether they are using an integrated workforce management application or the standard Mobile Tornado IPRS client. Such flexibility allows ISV's to gain revenue streams from an entire organisation's user base, rather than just the workforce segment using their workforce management applications.

Mobile Tornado's solution offers low-cost cellular-based Instant Communications. The service is provided using the customer's existing mobile data plan. Providing the customer remains within the contracted usage limits of that plan, there are no additional charges for the service other than the monthly licence fee for the applications themselves. |
